Brownsea Island

Since 1964 the island has been host to the Brownsea Open Air Theatre, annually performing the works of William Shakespeare. The island has a visitor centre and museum, displaying the islands history. The Dorset Wildlife Trust operate on the island from an old villa. The island has a single post box which is emptied every Saturday.
